Apollo hospital to open a Hub in Suva

One of India’s leading hospital, Apollo Hospital will open a hub at Pender Street in Suva in a bid to provide international standard health services.

Group Vice President, Dr Harinder Singh Sidhu says they are looking at long-term initiatives.

He says they will be bringing specialized doctors to Fiji as it’s not easy to send patients outside the country for high quality treatment.

“Fiji is already hosting patients from neighboring Island and has been a leader in the Pacific region but there are still certain challenges which we are committing that we will work together to address.”

Apollo hospital will engage with all the stakeholders to see how more health services can be brought into Fiji as part of a long term commitment.

The hospital hopes to provide services such as 48 hour response time, free medical advice from specialists in India, free assistance for Visa and travel and free post discharge follow ups for Fijians.
