Students will now be able to know more about anti-corruption after the Fiji Independent Commission against Corruption with Education Ministry introduces the national anti-corruption curriculum.
FICAC Manager Corruption Prevention, Kolora Naliva says the program is currently being piloted in only 32 schools before it is implemented in all schools from next year.
The pilot phase workshop with teachers today was initiated today.
" It’s more to do with value base education where we are trying to, where we need the teachers to review their teaching and learning process in the classroom and try to generate learning to the children."
Naliva says the curriculum will be introduced to students from years five to thirteen while students from year’s one to four have a separate special program called “Good Kiddo Program.”.
A total of sixteen teachers from twelve schools in the Central division attended the workshop.
