The Agro Marketing Authority will soon be establishing a collection centre in Dama, Bua.
Minister for Agriculture, Inia Seruiratu says the old fertiliser shed in Dama will be converted to a collection centre for crops that will be going for export.
Seruiratu says the AMA Board of Directors will be conducting consultations in Dama, Lekutu as well as Dreketi in this regard.
_"We don’t want to leave Vanua Levu behind in terms of accessing export facilities and other processors that retailers use in Viti Levu. We need to have these facilities.”-
AMA already has a centre in Savusavu.
The facility has been allocated funds for a big cold storage system in this financial year.
