This is ‘No-Shave November’ or ‘Movember’ as it’s more commonly known.

A world wide campaign – raising awareness on prostate and testicular cancers and is a sign of solidarity.

Many in Fiji have taken up the cause including golfer Olaf Allen Jnr.

Allen has special reason to grow out his beard.

“A few family members have had cancer scares, close friends have got cancer and stuff like that so yea really they inspired me to start creating awareness, and doing my part.”

Movember aims to increase early cancer detection, diagnosis and effective treatment – ultimately reducing deaths.

Olaf is encouraging all men to get involved.

Prostate cancer is the most fatal form of cancer for men in Fiji.
