“He happened to be with other senior officers from headquarters Fiji Police Force at the time of the incident but investigations are continuing and if we need to conduct ID parades again we will do that we haven’t closed the file on that and we will continue to look at the possibility that Police was involved.”

Meanwhile, Police are also following new leads into the investigation of plans to destabilize the government and assassinate members of Parliament.

The Acting Police Commissioner says while no arrests have been made, Police are still hot on their heels to find the perpetrators.

Brigadier General Qiliho adds that while they cannot reveal details of the progress of investigation into the plans to destabilize government, he has however revealed that one political party is behind the alleged plot.
