A 29- year-old truck driver from Malamala, Nadi who is alleged to have murdered his wife will appear at the Lautoka High Court today.
Moneel Narayan is charged with one count of murder.
It’s alleged that he murdered his wife believed to be in her 20s on the 11th of last month.
Narayan was taken in for questioning after the victim’s family members reported her missing.
Upon investigation, Police received information the man allegedly inflicted serious harm on his wife.
FBC News can also confirm the man had confessed to the alleged incident which prompted Police to search his compound and found what is believed to be burnt human remains that were buried.
The forensic tests conducted confirmed the remains was his wife who was reported missing earlier this month.
