Police have identified the body of a man who was found dead on the Suva Foreshore last week.

Police Spokesperson, Ana Naisoro says the alleged murder victim has been identified as twenty-three-year-old tertiary student.

She says a fellow student came forward after reading the request for information.

The student then notified the victim’s close relative, who has since identified the deceased as his nephew.

A post mortem will now be conducted as the investigation continues into what led to the student’s death.
