52-year-old Seba Sitiano Bukanikoro who allegedly claimed to be a doctor has been further remanded in custody by the Nasinu Magistrate court.

Bukanikoro has been charged with four counts of obtaining property by deception and one count of use of certain titles or descriptions prohibited contrary to the Medical and Dental Practitioners Decree 2010.

It is alleged that the incident occurred between the 3rd and 7th of this month and that Bukanikoro operated as a medical practitioner where he attended to patients with a consultation fee of $75 and in the process he obtained $450.

The prosecution has asked for more time to respond to the bail application.
Bukanikoro will re-appear next Wednesday.
