All families affected by the recent floods will be assisted says Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama.

Bainimarama says he knows the plight of people living in flood affected areas and the hardships they face in trying to make ends meet.

“I’ve seen the damage that has been done, total devastation for most families that were affected, flood waters reaching the ceilings taking out everything from food stuff, bed linen, everything that’s use in a household, besides of course the livelihood of the leader of the house, so we need to find ways to help them and alleviate the problem they are facing.”

The Prime Minister has approved more than a million dollars to DISMAC to continue assisting those affected
