The Police Force has assured any information provided during tip-offs is classified as confidential.
Chief of Operations, ACP Rusiate Tudravu, says the Force wants more people to come forward with information that will help them track down drug cultivators.
“We would like to tell the people that we very much care about their security and we have deployed our officers to Kadavu. When they need help, we go there at the same time, so that shows that the police has the capability to provide anything to them when they need it. I can confirm that the security of those that are passing information to us will be held as one of the priority for us.”
ACP Tudravu says in an effort to identify marijuana farms, the Force is tapping into the use of new technologies.
