Johnston says going forward any faults will be repaired within a week.

Our main stage would be all street lights to work before Christmas and as they fail because when reach end of life, we will be able to turn around and request for maintenance within seven days so from lodgment of complain to rectification of fault with seven days and that’s our goal.

Johnston says vandalism is still a problem and is costing huge sums of money which can be saved if people take pride in national assets.

$100m is being provided by the government to fix streetlights this year.
