Mohammed Ali of Nadi was crowned the winner of the Mirchi FM’s Bum Mein Hai Dum competition yesterday.

It was down to two participants coming into the 77th hour mark, however Ali stood tall after surviving what might have been the longest four days of his life.

Ali says giving up his phone, having sleepless nights and having the competition tent as his home for 4 days was all worth it.

“So that determination of getting to that level helped me. Well I’ll go back to Nadi find a land, get the house and that will be my own dwelling. I wish my mother was here so she could stay with me.”

Ali was in tears when his opponent gave up in the last hour.

The Mirchi FM’s Bum Mein Hai Dum record breaking event had thousands of viewers from all over the world.

The competition started on Thursday with twenty participants.

Ali walked away with a $60,000 dollar two-bedroom house.
