The Agriculture Ministry and the iTaukei Lands Trust board will now be able to share information and data.
This after the two institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding earlier this week.
The agreement will provide the framework for joint cooperation, coordination and sharing of information and data on issues relating to the management and administration of iTaukei lands and agriculture.
Permanent Secretary for Agriculture, Jitendra Singh, says both institutions are important stakeholders in the agriculture industry as proponents for agricultural development.
Singh says they will now be able to share information and in the process avoid duplication, where possible.
A Working Committee comprising of senior officials from both institutions will be established to provide quarterly reports on the developments and information under this MOU.
