iTaukei landowners will now be able to access their BSP bank accounts at any time.

This was made possible through a collaboration between the iTaukei Land Trust Board and the Bank of the South Pacific.

BSP Country Head Haroon Ali says the agreement formalizes the working relationship between the two entities with regards to best practices in land management and financial inclusion for Fiji’s iTaukei Landowners.

“We are ready to help address the challenges faced by ILTB to distribute lease monies to its rightful recipients and have them access their funds from wherever they are without the need for having them to travel long distances to their nearest bank branch”

TLTB Chief Executive Tevita Kuruvakadua says the objective is to empower iTaukei landowners through the facilitation of financial literacy awareness program to upgrade their skills and knowledge in financial matters.
