National Federation Party leader Professor Biman Prasad says Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, is welcome to take appropriate action on his allegations following exchange of private emails sent by Feroz Mohammed to a number of individuals.

In a statement Prasad says he has questioned the now former provisional NFP candidate, but Mohammed has denied that he wrote the allegations by Sayed-Khaiyum.

Mohammed replying to an email that was sent to several people including FBC News, says that both Sayed-Khaiyum and Faiyaz Koya are claiming to be Hindu’s now and have been actively involved in Sanatan prayer ceremony.

He claims that just to gather votes, the two Ministers sold their ‘iman’ or faith.

This was in response to the email sent by one Mohammed Yunus who says that Faiyaz Koya’s father could not become the Prime Minister of Fiji when NFP won the election in April 1977.

He further wrote that Koya became acting Prime Minister in the Bainimarama government.

Also included in the email was that the AG has been acting as Prime Minister a number of times and is Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama’s right hand man.

The Attorney General in an email to the NFP Leader has questioned what he will do about Mohammed’s bigotry.

Sayed-Khaiyum says he already brought this to Prasad’s attention as a matter of courtesy, after one of their Parliamentary sittings.

Professor Prasad says he is not privy to email private exchanges and the AG must be privy to email exchanges on similar issues that he is not aware of.

The NFP Leader says he does not wish to engage in commenting on personal email exchanges on differing view by individuals.

He stated that NFP candidates are engaged in campaigning on issues and that is what they will do until the election.
