Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum says if Fijian Holdings Group attains overseas markets for printing services, it will benefit the economy.
Sayed-Khaiyum says this will rake in more foreign currencies increasing Fiji’s economic activity.
He says following the privatization of the Government Printery, FHL can focus on the New Zealand and Australian markets.
“We know one New Zealand Company that used to print large volumes of exercise books are no longer doing it because of the cost factor. So to have a company that can actually cater for that level of volume, then it will be good not just for our people in terms of increasing job opportunity and access to technology but it’s also good for foreign exchange.”
FHL’s Group chief executive, Nouzab Fareed says in five years’ time they plan to foster a good working relationship with New Zealand and Australian counterparts for printing jobs.
