Changes will take place in the bus industry and bus operators have been urged to strategize to continue reaping the benefits.

Acting Prime Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum made this statement while speaking at the Fiji Bus Operators Association Annual Conference in Lami yesterday.

Being one of the common mode of transportation Sayed-Khaiyum says the industry is projected to develop at a rapid pace.

“Like I said because of technology and because of the change in demographics of society, a lot of changes will take place in the next few years and I think as individual bus companies you need to strategies to how your bus companies to be relevant.”

Sayed-Khaiyum says operators should come up with innovative ideas to lift the standard of the industry.
