AG promises delivery of housing material for Taveuni residents

Sixty tonnes of housing materials for Taveuni residents whose homes were destroyed during TC Winston will be delivered in three weeks.

Responding to questions from villagers of Navakawau in Vuna, Taveuni the Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum said some housing materials are being held at Carpenters hardware yard.

Navakawau Village Headman Sefanaia Ravatu said over 59 homes have yet to be built or completed.

Sixty-eight homes in the village were damaged when TC Winston hit in February of 2016.
