Eighty-two percent of the pay-out will go to the non-management staff.

Public Enterprises Minister, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, says this has been made possible at the back of AFL’s strong financial performance.

“Previously the bonuses that were paid out to the AFL staff was based on a percentage of your salary, so if five percent of the bonus was paid and if your salary was only $10, 000 – the obviously the bonus was only $500. So what the board has decided is that all non-management staff that earn between $8,000 and $20, 000 will get atleast a bonus of $1,000 – those up on the next run will atleast get a bonus of $1,500.”

The Airport Fiji Limited is carrying out major renovation works at the Nadi International Airport which is expected to be completed next year.
