Education Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum has revealed that a lot of administration structures in the Ministry are still hangover from the colonial days.

Sayed-Khaiyum says this was evident as they continue to solve administrative issues within the education ministry.

With a lot of changes expected to take place, Sayed-Khaiyum says they will continue to bring in innovative ideas to further develop our education system.

“A lot of the structures still are hangover from the colonial days, the way administration are done, we need to look at that and we are working through that at the moment.”

Sayed-Khaiyum also highlighted the need of sharing ideas and policies with other commonwealth member countries.
