Elections Supervisor Mohammed Saneem says an additional 438 people have registered for the upcoming election.

Saneem says last week they carried out an outside broadcast and 3, 000 people took the opportunity to correct their details and replace their cards.

He reiterated that voter registration will close on the day the writ of election is announced.

“Like we will be very clear you cannot change the details after the writ is issued. The Fijian Elections Office will once again open its voter service centers only for the purpose of replacement of voter ID’s."

Meanwhile, Saneem says current statistics show that over 55,000 voters have used the platform one-five-zero-zero to check their details.
