The Asian Development Bank has provided a $1m grant to the Government to help fund humanitarian and relief efforts to those affected by recent floods.

This assistance is in addition to a $1m grant ADB provided to help mitigate the impacts of the floods that hit Fiji in late January 2012.

The funds will be used to meet the basic needs of those affected, especially in relation to rehabilitation work and restoring essential services.
