The two victims of last night’s horrific road accident in Sigatoka have been identified.

FBC News has received confirmation that one of the two is Lusiana Lala, the acting director of the Social Welfare Ministry.

The other is her driver Marseu Mitchell.

Witnesses say the government vehicle they were in collided with a private G-Touring car at Sovi Bay around 6.30 last night and tumbled more than five times before it burst into flames.

The National Fire Authority arrived at the scene and put out the blaze.

The government vehicle has been burnt beyond recognition.

Another two passengers, an employee of UN Women and a second driver are both admitted in hospital.
