A 45-year-old man who allegedly raped his mother and grandniece appeared before the Suva High Court via a video link conference from the Suva Remand Center today.
The man has two files before the High court.
In the first file, the man has been charged with two counts of rape.

It is alleged he raped his 63-year-old mother between 2016 and this year in Kadavu.
In the second file, he has been charged with two counts each of sexual assault and rape of his grandniece.
State lawyer objected to bail as the accused had stated he wanted to go back to Kadavu to look after his mother, who is a complainant in the case.
The court was also informed the accused does not have sureties.
The case will be recalled next Friday for bail hearing.
