Accountants told to continue pushing Fiji economy upward

To continue developments and achievement’s there is a need to align ourselves to the National Development plan and position Fiji as the hub of economic activity.

Speaking during the opening of the 46th Fiji Institute of Accountants Congress, President, Major General (Ret’d) Joji Konrote encouraged business owners and entrepreneurs to continue driving the economy upwards.

“Since the inception of the Fiji Institute Accountants Congress in 1971, the FIA has achieved recognition to be the premier accountant body not only in Fiji but also regionally in its contribution to education, professional development and maintain high accounting audits through ethical standards.”

Konrote says that the FIA has built a reputation for being a premium accounts firm.

The President also commended the work done by the FIA in delivering quality service and providing quality advice.

Approximately 400 delegates are currently attending the two day congress.
