The Accident Compensation Commission is expected to streamline their processes making it easier for Fijians to access their compensation payments among other services.

Commission chief executive Parvez Akbar says simplicity and accessibility are two of the key aspects of how the organization will function.

All that will be required Akbar says is that for applicants to fill in the necessary forms and submit it to their nearest Land Transport Authority office to be vetted.

“Its easy access to compensation. It’s the ability for someone who is affected by a motor vehicle or injured by motor vehicle accident to get access to the compensation at the time they need it.”

The commission is currently assessing a number of applications which they plan to payout by the end of February.
