Funds are vital for Pacific Island Nations in combating Climate Change but access needs to be made easier.
This was highlighted by Climate Change Minister, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum during a high level meeting in Suva yesterday.
Sayed-Khaiyum says development finance actually connects to climate finance.

“You cannot actually separate it because they very much intertwine – you cannot talk about development in countries like ours without actually talking about measure to handling Climate change or the issues emanating from Climate Change effects.”
Sayed-Khaiyum adds it’s important to access finance where the process is cost effective.
