A 45-year-old labourer of Nadera died when a truck rolled back and hit him in Bua, Vanua Levu.

The victim was standing behind the seven-tonne truck and it rolled backwards.

The incident occurred at Nasauto Settlement yesterday.

The victim was rushed to Nabouwalu Hospital but was pronounced dead.

A post mortem on the deceased will be conducted soon.

The vehicle will be inspected as part of police investigations.
