A total of six hundred and ninety-nine recipients received their small Micro and Small Business grant in Nabouwalu, Vanua Levu over the weekend.

During the disbursement of these grants, Minister for Trade Faiyaz Koya says that the disbursement of the grants marks the 29th phase of the MSB grant and the last of the disbursements in the Northern Division.

“The MSBG initiative also serves as a platform in mainstreaming informal micro and small operators into the formal sector. This will assist the government in formulating policies to enhance sustainable growth in our MSME sector."

Koya says since the instigation of the programme in 2014, the government has invested a total of $15.9 million to support 16,605 recipients all over the country.
