December 22, 2018 7:12 am

The Fiji National Provident Fund has revealed that they are being owed $6 million in outstanding member contributions for this year.
Chief Executive, Jaoji Koroi revealed to FBC News that one thousand two hundred and eighty employers are yet to make their employee contributions.
He says employers who are yet to pay their FNPF employee contributions have one week to do so in order to avoid penalties.
“We have given them a period of amnesty until 31st of December where penalties are not being charged for employers to clear their debts.”
Koroi says around five-hundred employers have paid their contributions.
“We have received about 2.2 million dollars. Employers have come forward and cleared their debts equivalent to $2.2 million dollars from 510 employers. There are still about 1280 employers who still owe members unpaid contributions.”
Koroi says if employers do not clear their debts by year end, the penalties will kick in from January 1st.
