6 civil servants to undertake training in Japan

Six civil servants will be undertaking a Young Leaders training program for 3 weeks in Japan.

These employees are from the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Rural and Maritime Development.

The training which is provided by JICA is aimed at rural development and lifestyle related disease prevention – for young leaders from Pacific Island countries.

The workshop will also promote human resource development.

The participants will stay in Japan to gain knowledge and skills using Japanese methods and practices.

So far, close to fifty participants from Fiji have been part of various training in different sectors in Japan.
