A man in his 50’s is believed to be the country’s latest road fatality following a motor vehicle accident this afternoon.

The accident occurred along the Queens Road near Kulukulu, Sigatoka.

The victim was walking along the side of the road when it’s alleged he jumped onto the road when he was hit by a truck heading towards Nadi.

The victim was rushed to the Sigatoka Hospital however, was pronounced dead on arrival.

The driver of the vehicle will be questioned soon.

Investigation continues.
