Fifty children from disadvantaged homes around the country were filled with joy as they graduated from the Mobile Kindy at My Suva Park today.
Mobile Kindy is an organisation that has been providing early childhood education for children in hard to reach communities since March 2013.
Minister for Children, Mereseini Vuniwaqa, says the Mobile Kindy creates a great platform for kids who will otherwise face challenges in accessing kindergarten classes.
“It is initiatives likes this, which is helpful to kids and it also helps the government to fulfill its duty to provide socio-economic rights promised in the constitution.”
This year sees an increase of 19 children who graduated from the Mobile Kindy compared to last year.
Today’s celebration included dancing, traditional songs and joy for these children.
