5.7% increase in visitor arrivals last month

There was an increase of 5.7 percent in visitor arrivals for last month, as over eighty-one thousand four hundred visitors came to our shores.

According to the Fiji Bureau of Statistics, increases were recorded from New Zealand, Japan, Continental Europe, Rest of Asia and China.

There were decreases on arrivals from Australia, Pacific Islands, South Korea and the UK.

Visitors arriving for holiday purposes accounted for seventy-seven point two percent of total arrivals.

The majority of visitors to Fiji in September were in the age range of twenty-five to sixty-four.
