A man from Noikoro village in Navosa is the latest road fatality victim.

Police says the 45-year-old victim who was believed to be intoxicated on Friday night got off his vehicle along Vuniquwawa in Dratabu Road and was allegedly hit by a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.

A post mortem examination will be conducted to ascertain the cause of his death.

Investigation into the matter continues.

The road death toll currently stands at 24 compared to 28 for the same period last year.
