More than 40 people have been arrested and are currently being questioned by Police for alleged illegal gambling.

Police Spokesperson Ana Naisoro has confirmed a raid was conducted early this morning at a nightclub along Victoria Parade in Suva where the suspects were rounded up.

The Police were also able to seize more than $50,000 cash, electronic items and foods allegedly used for gambling.

The suspects include six Fijians and 43 local Asian nationals.

Investigation continues.
