4 homes destroyed in various fire incidents

Four homes were destroyed in various fire incidents over the weekend.

A six bedroom home in Nawaka, Nadi was completely destroyed in a fire yesterday afternoon. The house consisted of two flats which was occupied by a 32-year-old.

Police says the cause of fire is yet to be determined and the estimated cost of damage is around $43,000.

In another fire incident, a five bedroom house was completely destroyed yesterday in Lovu Seaside, Lautoka.

The joint property belongs to a 44-year-old panel beater and a 49-year-old man.

The cause of fire is yet to be established and the assessed cost of damage is more than $58,000.

In Vatulaulau, Ba a home belonging to a 78-year-old market vendor was completely destroyed in a fire as well.

Estimated cost of damage is $50,000 and the cause of fire is yet to be ascertained.

In Sigatoka, the Coastal Auto Investment building located in town was partly destroyed by a fire on Friday morning.
