A man in his 30s has died following a motor vehicle accident this morning.

The victim was heading towards Navua after 1am when the vehicle he was driving veered off the road and hit an electric post along the Tokotoko Road in Navua.

The victim was pulled out of the vehicle with the assistance from tNational Fire Authority personnel and was conveyed to the Navua Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

A post mortem will be conducted soon.

The road death toll currently stands at 35 compared to 36 for the same period last year.
