The cost of damage incurred by Cyclone Evan in the Northern division is estimated at $30.3 million.
As usual – crops sustained the most damage – estimated at $26 million.
Housing damage cost $3.3 million.
Damage to educational facilities is estimated at over $249, 000.
Damage to roads cost over $247, 000, while damage to drainage was $3,000.
Livestock and sugarcane damage totaled $38, 845.
Damage to health facilities totaled over $100, 000 and damage to water and sewerage cost $119,000.
Works and drainage damage cost close to $8,000 and telecommunications incurred a damage cost of over $110,000.
