Three teachers in the Western Division have been suspended.

This has been confirmed to FBC News by Education Minister Dr. Mahendra Reddy.

It’s alleged the teachers – 2 from Nadi and 1 from Ba – hit students in their respective schools.

Dr. Reddy is expected to reveal more details later today.

It’s understood one of the teachers from Nadi in under investigation for hitting a primary school student with a tyre tube last week.

The family of the 12 year old boy has also filed a report with Police.
