Three men have been produced in the Tavua Magistrates Court and have been charged with one count each of sedition and one count each of urging political violence.

The accused are Ilaitia Korolala, Semi Uqeuqe and Meli Nasalasala.

The State has asked for all three to be remanded in custody due to the seriousness of the charges and continuing police investigations into the use of firearms.

The Director of Public Prosecutions Office says the matter has been adjourned to the 26th of this month.

The men have been remanded in custody to appear in the Rakiraki Magistrates Court on that date.
