A 3.94 magnitude earthquake was registered three kilometers southwest of Viria village, Naitasiri this morning.

Acting Director Mineral Resources Raymond Mohammed says the earthquake had a depth of six kilometers and was an in-land event.

Mohammed adds that because the event was an in-land one, it doesn’t pose any tsunami threat.
