Over two million dollars was paid as compensation to government workers in 2015.
Employment Minister Semi Koroilavesau confirmed this in parliament while responding to a question posed by Opposition MP Alifereti Nabulivou.
The question related to compensation payment to government workers and Christmas Island Veterans.

Koroilavesau says the money was paid 211 injured workers or dependents of deceased workers whose death were clarified as medical related.
The highest number of compensation payment was to the Republic of Fiji Military forces.
