The Agriculture Ministry will recruit 430 enumerators for the 2020 Fiji agriculture census.

Permanent Secretary Ritesh Dass says the census is a potential platform in providing reliable data particularly, in the absence of other sources for monitoring the sustainable development goals.

Dass adds these enumerators will undergo extensive orientation and training before the execution phase.

“To enable the primary sector to capture all of this information during the agriculture census, the ministry of agriculture will be recruiting 430 enumerators across the country. They will be supervised, guided and coordinated by 123 supervisors and 122 area coordinators operating in the four geographical divisions”. 

The Fiji agriculture census will start from the 10^th to the 29^th of February next year.
