An unemployed man who allegedly stole items including medical instruments valued at $1,435 from a Medical Officer in Vatuwaqa, Suva will be sentenced this afternoon.

21-year-old Viliame Aca appeared in the Suva Magistrates Court this morning and facts were read.

The stolen items were picked by Aca from inside a private car parked near Vatuwaqa.

One of the items stolen was a mobile phone which was sold to a 48-year-old man and has now been recovered.
