A 21 year old man accused of sexual assault and burglary at Nauluvatu settlement early Monday morning has pleaded guilty to the charges.

The assailant pleaded guilty to one count of burglary and one count of indecent assault when he appeared in court in Suva yesterday.

The court also clarified the victim is a 21 year old women and not a 5 year old as reported initially by Police.

The rapist will be sentenced on November 20th.

On November 3rd at Nauluvatu settlement, the assailant broke into the victim’s home and went into her bedroom.

Apparently the victim woke up to the find the assailant indecently assaulting her.
