A twenty-one year old man has died following an assault at a Mobil service station in Nakasi, Nausori.

Police Spokesperson Inspector Josaia Weicavu confirmed to FBC News that the incident happened last night.

It’s alleged the deceased was assaulted by 5 suspects – one of them a bowser attendant at the service station.

It’s believed a dispute erupted over money which the deceased owed to one of the suspects involved in the assault.

Sitiveni Qali, an unemployed youth of Chadwick Road in Nakasi was rushed to hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police are treating the case as murder.

The 5 suspects are in custody and investigations continue.
