21-year further remanded charged with aggravated burglary and theft

A 21-year-old man charged with one count each of aggravated robbery and theft has been further remanded by the Suva High Court.

Jesoni Qoro appeared before Judge Justice Daniel Goundar via a video link conference from the Suva Remand Centre.

It is alleged he stole assorted items worth over $3, 200 from Rups Investment Limited in Raiwaqa on June 10th.

The accused pleaded not guilty to his charges saying another person helped him in this act.

He told the court that the principal offender has not been charged.

While the state lawyer did not object to the bail application, the Defense noted that the accused did not have any sureties.

The matter has been deferred to the 17th of next month for mention.
