2017 hibiscus pageant will be interesting

This year’s hibiscus festival will be an interesting one as various media outlets will be participating.

This was highlighted by Fiji Broadcasting Corporation’s Chief Executive Riyaz Sayed-Khaiyum while announcing Miss FBC News today.

Sayed–Khaiyum says this is a positive step towards awareness on just how important media is to any country.

“It’s going to be lots of fun and as long as the competition is clean and we have a lot of friendly rivalry going on because the media fraternity is not a big one in Fiji and everyone knows each other and we want everyone to have fun.”

Miss FBC News Ro Anaseini Yabakivou will be representing FBC at the Hibiscus festival advocating on Youth Empowerment.

The week-long pageant will take place at the Vodafone Arena in Suva from August 11 – 19.

The winning Queen contestant will represent Suva at the Miss Fiji pageant.
