The Fiji Sugar Corporation has described 2015 as a successful year for the industry.

The cane harvest for 2015 totalled 1.85 million tonnes.

Khan says the best part of the crushing season was that the four sugar mills were crushing cane at a reduced TCTS ratio.

At the end of the crushing season, records showed an average of 8.3 tonnes of cane crushed produced a tonne of sugar.

The Executive Chair adds the sugar extracted this year is of higher quality compared to previous years.
